Newly gained knowledge allows us to venture deeper into the future. We create new tools, speak new languages, and formulate new aesthetics. We interpret nature, rethink our traditions, and continuously shape our identities.

In 2014, Dutch Invertuals presented Happy Future, an exhibition exploring what happens when knowledge, technology, and creative freedom give us increasingly more possibilities to shape the world around us. With so many ways to design our own lives and identities, the exhibition asks a simple but fundamental question: what can truly make us happy?

Happy Future is ultimately an invitation to reconsider what progress means. Rather than simply asking what we can create, the exhibition asks what is worth creating and how we can use our growing knowledge to build a future that is not only more advanced, but more meaningful.
