A Voyage Trough Fifteen Years of Dutch Invertuals

  • by Dutch Invertuals

Fifteen years ago, Dutch Invertuals started with a simple but powerful idea: what if designers from different disciplines came together to form one strong voice? A voice that could address urgent themes, ask critical questions, and explore new perspectives. What began as a small experiment has grown into a platform that has presented more than 30 exhibitions and featured the work of over 100 designers.

To celebrate this milestone, Dutch Invertuals presents the Specimen exhibition and film. Visitors who have followed Dutch Invertuals over the years will recognise familiar works, but they appear in a new form, reimagined with AI and transformed into landscapes.

Together, they form a landscape of ideas that reflects the changing world around us.

Over the years, Dutch Invertuals has touched on themes that matter, ranging from material innovation and sustainability to questions of identity and the future of living. Each exhibition has added a new layer to our collective story. Together, they form a landscape of ideas that reflects the changing world around us.

Designers from different backgrounds, disciplines, and perspectives have come together to explore questions bigger than any individual could tackle alone. This shared approach has allowed the collective to respond to relevant topics in ways that are both experimental and deeply meaningful.

With new technologies, new designers, and new conversations, Dutch Invertuals will continue to grow as a platform that amplifies ideas and inspires change.
